What this site does not do
It sets no cookies. It uses no statistics or analytics tools. It has no social media buttons and embeds no third-party content. The one exception is the YouTube videos described below, which only load if you start them.
The typefaces are hosted together with the site: they are not fetched from an external server, so your IP address reaches no third party in order to read this page.
Data recorded by the server
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States). Like any web server, it records requests in log files containing, among other things, the IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type.
These serve the operation and security of the service. We do not access them and do not link them to any individual.
If you write to us
The info@utoapps.ch mailbox runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited).
Your message, your email address and whatever you tell us stay in the mailbox for as long as we need to reply and to follow the work that comes out of it. We use them for nothing else, send you no advertising and pass them to no one.
Demo videos
There are demo videos on the pages for the different trades. The videos in Italian are hosted together with the site. Those in the other languages are on our YouTube channel: until you press the play button, the page shows only an image hosted together with the site and does not contact YouTube.
When you start one of these videos, your browser connects to YouTube, a service provided to users in Switzerland by Google Ireland Limited. YouTube receives, among other things, your IP address and the address of the site on which you are watching the video, and may store cookies or similar data on your device. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). What Google does with this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Transfers abroad
GitHub and Google process data outside Switzerland as well, including in the United States, on the basis of the contractual safeguards provided for by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). The same applies to YouTube.

You may ask us at any time what data concerns you, and have it corrected or deleted: info@utoapps.ch.
If you disagree with our answer, you may turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern.
